His Minimal Lever course not only gave me confidence with my manipulation techniques for my 3rd year exam, but also immediately transferred to my clinical practice. I took Daryl's advanced spinal manipulation class in my final year at the BSO. The class really helped me to hone my HVT skills and to perfect my cervical spine manipulations in particular which I was struggling with at the time. He showed us a more gentle and comfortable approach to HVT which yielded a greater success rate and a greater ability to reproduce the same result on different people than some of the techniques that had been taught on the general syllabus that year. Daryl clearly has a passion for osteopathic technique. His classes are very open and no question is a stupid one. Having already been taught a sound structural basis with which to carry out osteopathic manipulative techniques, the ASM course complimented and built upon the skills I already had. The structure of the course and the teaching style made it easy to take the basics of a manipulative technique and add a variety of simple components which often made performing an HVT and achieving cavitation much easier and on a more consistent basis. It also helped me in revising my anatomy of the spine and associated structures since a sound knowledge of these is key to understanding how and why you perform the ASM techniques.

I attended Daryl's Advanced Spinal Manipulation elective course over an academic term and I found it extremely useful to have a different approach to HVT techniques.
He showed me some basic minimal leverage techniques to the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine going through the different levers to apply to the spine, and also the most effective position to be in depending on my personal morphology to make the techniques as optimal as possible. He helped me to adapt the techniques as best as possible to make them comfortable and effective for me, as a practitioner.
These techniques are all very different to the ones I was taught in the main technique classes and at first I found it very difficult to change my habits. With a lot of practice and watching the technique DVDs, I am starting to get used to the techniques and am not struggling as much as I used to.
Daryl is an excellent practitioner and a very good technique tutor. He has the patience and the passion of sharing what he knows, giving a good balance of practical time and evident-based theory.
